Exporting 1/4 tones to Logic Pro

Hi,

Perhaps my subject is related to the “VOICE not exporting 1/4 tones to musicXML“ subject.

I want to export my music from poly or voice objets in order to use the data for editing the sequences in Logic Audio environment (with synthetic sounds). By exporting them in midi format, I don’t know how to recuperate the quater-tons. Perhaps is it necessary to export the data in four independent midi files? How can it be done?

Has this issue something to do with the exporting to musicXML subject?

Thank you so much to anyone.

Hi Juanjo,

Basically Om uses multichannel split to play quartertones. Meaning, if you use by default midi channel 1 all 1/4 tones will be routed to the midi channel 3.
Now when you export a voice or poly as a midifile, automatically (if you have checked Approx. = 1/4 tone) the 1/4 tone will be routed to channel 3.
So when you open this in a midi sequencer, you just have to tune your channel 3 a 1/4 tone higher.

that’s it.

Thank you so much, Karim. It is very clear and simply. I will try it.
