Error OM 6.17 workspace [solved]

Hello everyone,

I am hoping someone could help with this issue as I did a quick search in previous posts and could not find a thread about it.
When opening my workspaces I get the following error

Error while loading /Users/username/Documents/OM_workspaces/SoSe_21/elements/preferences.lisp in WorkSpace: Cannot take CDR of in-package.
Additionally now all the externals in the other workspaces have disappeared and it is not possible to reassign them; finally the libraries pm2 and SuperVP are visible but “not seem to exist” both whebn loading previous workspaces and when I try to create a new and clean one.

Hi CJ,

Most probably, this is due to one of those two things:

  1. Either you are not openning correctly your Workspace, ie. you are trying to open inside the folder of the workspace

or

  1. your workspace is corrupted. This happens sometime when you slip an undesired file inside it.

In either case, the easiest way to figure this out is to send me your worlspace so i can see what’s really wrong here.

By the way you can download the OM’s latest version 6,19.

Hello Karim,

thanks for the quick reply. I installed OM 6.19 and now I can finally properly load all libraries without any problem. I also created a new clean workspace to test it and it works fine… so you were right: the old workspace was indeed corrupted. I found the unwanted files and deleted them, now all is perfect!
