Dorico and OM xml

Hi,
I have been trying to export an xml from Dorico to OM, and the first staff is always, strangely, treated separately with its own tempos (see image). The same file exported from MuseScore doesn’t have this problem.
Incidentally, the same file exported from Finale just doesn’t open in OM, but maybe it’s no more rewarding to investigate further on that side…
This may be a problem with Dorico, so I will also post this on their forum, but I thought I should do it here, too, if anyone as a clue.
Thanks!
Jimmie

Hi Jimmie,

The problem IS musicxml export. Each of these typesetters are proprietary and they have their own export features. It seems here that it is a tempo issue and might also be the tempo import feature in OM that is not working,

Did you try to import the Dorico export into MuseScore?

Bonjour Karim,

Good idea, I’ve just tried it: the same Dorico XML export opens flawlessly in MuseScore.

Best,
Jimmie

Ok this means that it is an OM issue.
Can you send the xml file. I will look into that.

Thanks a lot, here is the Dorico export.

Dear jimmie,

Sorry that i didn’t get back to you earlier. Can you just send this again but only few measures (2 to 3). that way it will be easier to debug.

…and yes can you send both exports from musescore And Dorico, just a few measures. I think it is just an import problem of tempi and the reason is that musescore and Dorico exports these in different ways unfortunately.
