I noticed that Zylia microphones can be inserted as tracks, and that 4 encoders are available. What are the differences between the 4 encoders, and is the use of a Zylia microphone (with Panoramix) is documented somewhere?

Well… Encoding a spherical microphone array to Ambisonics is not a trivial task. We have tried out several techniques. It’s difficult to objectively say which one is best. Yet, I would recommend method1 or 4 (method 4 is much more cpu intensive though).
Minimal documentation is available in spat5.hoa.zm1~ help patcher, in case you have the spat5 package (in Max).
