Hi all,
I ran into an issue with Dicy2 for Live after updating Ableton Live to 12.3.5. The MuBu externals devices could not load properly.

Cause (in short):
Live 12.3.5+ runs Max for Live with Max 9 by default. Older Live versions (up to 12.3.4) ran M4L with Max 8. Dicy2 for Live 2022 devices are frozen with a MuBu build for Max 8, so with Live 12.3.5+ (Max 9) you can get a MuBu mismatch / conflicts.

Solutions:

  1. Recommended: use “Dicy2 for Live” version 2026 (frozen with MuBu for Max 9) for Live 12.3.5+.
  2. Workaround: keep the 2022 version, but in Live Preferences set Max for Live to use Max 8 (instead of Max 9), and remove MuBu from “known paths” (including Max packages) to avoid conflicts.
    This worked for me.
