Hello
I am trying to better understand the aligned playing attribute of mubu.concat~
My first impression was that this mode allows you to use a signal to playback sample by sample of an audio buffer, but what I’m not sure about is the relationship of the buffer’s markers/segments track when in this mode. When I change the analysis settings of a buffer (resulting in different segment sizes) the aligned playback changes, which indicates that the segments sizes are somehow important. I am using the rebeat subpatcher from the help file, but repurposed with mubu.tracks to get the sample length rather than info~ since I’m not using buffer~ to load the sounds.
Could someone please explain how exactly aligned playing is working, what the input signal is controlling, and what is the relationship between audio samples and marker segments in this use case?
thanks!
James
