Hello all, dear homers.
Trying a simple patch I seem to have understood that it is not possible to concatenate two polys with different number of voices. It happened to me, for example, to concatenate a first poly with two voices to a second with three voices, resulting unfortunately in a poly with only two voices.
Is there a way to overcome the problem? Or do you have alternative strategies to achieve this goal?
Thank you very much in advance and best regards,
neo
Dear neo,
If you are using concat-score-objs (which by the way i recommend), you can:
-
if the first poly has less voices than the next one, just fill her up with empty voices (same measures and tempo)
-
If the first poly has > number of voices thant the following, and [very important] all its voices terminate together you don’t have to worry about filling up the voices of the 2nd Poly. But it would be also good to do so, if you export it for typesettings.
Best
