Why does the chord-seq object add an extra onset?

The chord-seq outputs automatically the end onset of the chord-seq meaning the last given onset+its note duration. (c.f screenshot). Hope this helps.

Just curious to know why. I use butlast to elmimate it; for some calculations, the same number of notes and onsetes is needed.
