Can't make modalys work!

Hi everybody.
I’m trying to use modalys patches in windows / max msp context…

weird stuff but the object modalys is still gray !
although mlys object is ok…
max window tells me nothing about an error !

everything is shown in the picture attached.

I try with windows 7 64 bits, and win 8 64 bits…
isn’t there any others dependencies to install ?

thanks in advance !

Hello !
Anyone about this tricky stuff ?

I just can’t make it work and don’t know why…

We are seeing very similiar problems on Windows 10 with Max 7 (32-bit). All of the other Modalys objects (e.g. mlys objects) are visible to Max, but in any patch the modalys~ object itself is consistently grayed-out and inactive.

There are no error messages in the console, and sounds will not play. Any help please?

glad to hear I’m not alone
even with win 7 and 8, it still doesn’t work…any help from dev people could be cool !

Hi Gundorf and Thoyt,

Sorry for this.
However I don’t see any issue with:

  • Windows 8 (64bit)
  • Max 6.1, 32 or 64bit
(screenshot attached, for what it is worth!)

Are you sure you have the latest version (3.4.2), with the modalys package well located and all?

On my side, I’ll see if I can find another machine, but not sure it’s a factor.

Thanks,
Robert

Thanks for your response, Robert.

Unfortunately we are still having issues. Our library is well-placed. We are certain of this because all of the other Modalys Max objects are functioning normally. For example, the mlys.script object has a script that is correct. We are also using the latest version of Modalys for Max.

Is there any diagnostic information we can provide you? The Max console doesn’t display any messages.

Are there any other ways you can help? It would be great if you could try it on a Windows 10 machine.

Thank you,
Tyler

Hi Tyler,

We could find a Windows machine illustrating the problem.
I am currently getting a Windows 10 machine ready for testing, and will keep you posted!

Update: can’t see it more closely now. Looks like a dependency issue.
Digging more…

Robert

Great! I’m glad you were able to reproduce it at least. Looking forward to your assessment of the problem. Hopefully the solution isn’t too complex.

Thanks for you efforts,

Tyler

Hi all,

I just posted an update which should fix the problem!

Please let me know if it does the trick on your side, too.
Sorry again for the inconvenience.
