Audiosculpt adopts Snail technology? It can greatly help the analysis of mono low frequency sounds.

The Snail is a very high-precision frequency-domain analyzer that delivers an easy to understand representation of sounds based on the scales and notes aligned in spectrally active zones. It offers a new way of tuning and analyzing an instrument in an extremely accurate way, displaying intonation and visualizing music and sounds in a way that can help anyone improve their listening and innotation!
Compared to standard spectrum analyzers based on Fourier-type analysis, the frequency accuracy is enhanced by a process based on the demodulated phase. This system is based on a recent patented technology, conceived at the laboratory of Science and Technology of Music and Sound IRCAM-CNRS-UPMC.

Thanks for your interest for the Snail, which is also developed in our team.

Actually yes, that’s a great idea and it could be really interesting to integrate the snail technology as another visualization tool in AudioSculpt at least for the sonogram.
It may happen for AudioSculpt 4, currently under development.
But not for the current version 3 of AudioSculpt.

Apart from the Snail technology, you have two other analysis/visualization tools in AudioSculpt which are very informative and precise. For example, you may also use the “Reassigned Spectrum”, or try a rather new option we added few years ago, called the “Automatic Adaptive Analysis” (called AAAS) - available just below the Sonogram Analysis Menu.
