If I import an XML file to Ascograph I get only dyads instead of multi-note chords. The same XML file imports fine to Sibelius. It would seem that more than two notes are needed to track correctly.

It appears that the XML file I tried to attach didn’t work. Here it is again-

Hi Thomas,
I tried to move all notes not in layer 1 to layer 1 (sib score attached), exported to XML, opened in Ascograph (txt score attached). There are still several notes from the score that did not appear in the Ascograph.txt score. (e.g. measure 20, first treble note of 21, most of 23, and, oddly enough the bass notes of 24). There are many more notes that are not in the ascograph window but I also note that there are some rhythmic problems - particularly beginning in measure 18 durations in factions of 256, 384, and 768. These are not surprising since they are traceable to the “three against two” figure. In this measure the first duration is 85/256 (very close to 1/3). But there follows several that are 1/768 - to compensate for mathematical imprecision. From measure 46 to the end I believe all of the four-note chords are presented in Ascograph as single notes.
In spite of the missing notes, Antescofo follow the score rather well. I bring the missing notes to your attention because I don’t think you intended the Ascograph window to miss these notes.
I hope everything is going well in Athens.
Thanks,
Larry
