ASAP keep going back to demo mode after authorization in free version of Reaper

Hi,

I use ASAP plug-ins in the free version of Reaper. I have authorized ASAP for about 2 to 3 times, but it keeps going back to demo mode for unknown reason. Is it because I use the free version of Reaper? If I buy Reaper, will the problem be solved?

Also, my membership has expired, so I can no longer ask for authorization key. But in this case, may I ask for one? Thank you!

Best regards,

Liddy

Hello Liddy,

No, Reaper has nothing to do with that. By expired, do you mean that you can no longer generate keys or that the date of your subscription has passed? In this case, you must renew your subscription to benefit from ASAP updates. Otherwise, you must use a version of ASAP that is older than the expiry date of your subscription.

@IRCAM-Forum-team Can you check the subscription?

Best,
Pierre

Hi @liddy ,

Thank you for your message, this is indeed related to your Forum membership rathen than Reaper.

As you can see in the membership section of your profile, your Forum membership has expired the last 14th of October: Profile of liddy | Ircam Forum

In order to be able to use ASAP you will need to renew your Forum membership from this page:

You will then be able to generate a new activation key for authorizing the software.

Best regards,
Guillaume

Hello,

Thanks for your responds! But will I always need a membership in order to use ASAP? If I don’t need the updates, how can I continue to use the older version that has been authorized? Is it normal that ASAP keep going back to demo mode after authorization? Is it designed to be so?

Best regards,

Liddy

No, if your subscription ended 14th of October, you can still use all the versions that have been released before the date.

Is it normal that ASAP keep going back to demo mode after authorization?

If you try to use a version released after the end of your subscription, ASAP won’t be authorized so you have to roll back to a previous version. If you use a version that has been released before this date and you encounter an issue with authorizing ASAP, it might be related to the authorization key. In this case, @IRCAM-Forum-team might be able to help you.
