2 User Interface Questions

Hello,

1. When you are in a POLY object, (or just a VOICE objecT), is there a way to click on a note, and turn it into a rest? (I know how to create a rest in a rhythm tree . . but I am asking about creating rests “manually” in a VOICE or POLY.)

2. Sometimes I type in long lists into a LIST box. I have noticed that recently, when I click out of the box, it turns from a nice-size nice-proportion rectangle, into a very loooooooooooooonnnnnng [long] list which I have to scroll way over on the screen to see. . . very difficult. (See attached screen shot). Is there a way to force a LIST box to be a certain aspect ratio? Or, is there another box that is better to use, if I want to manually type in lists . . for rhythms, pitches, etc. ?

Hi Chris,

For your first question :

Select your note and type esc.

Second question :

I personally use textfile object .
